Final Interview
Stage 1: Online Application
CV · Photos · Eligibility
- Apply online via the Singapore Airlines Careers portal
- Upload your English CV
- Minimum height: 158 cm (female) / 165 cm (male)
- Education: degree-equivalent (GCE O Level or above)
TIP: The "Singapore Girl / Singapore Boy" image is iconic. A poised, elegant first impression is essential.
Stage 2: Online Video Interview
Self-Recorded · Scenario Questions · Written Essay
- Self-recorded video interview (HireVue platform)
- Scenario-based responses, English essay, and full-length self-recording included
Sample Singapore Airlines Video Interview Questions (4 items)
- Tell me about the smartest person you know personally and why.
- What would you do if you saw another cabin crew being rude to a passenger?
- Essay: Tell me about a time you had set yourself a difficult goal. (10 mins, 400 words)
- Show the full length of yourself and give a big smile after you're done.
TIP: Choose a clean background and front-facing light. The essay is a time-management exercise — 2 mins to outline, 7 mins to write, 1 min to proof. For the full-length recording, hold a natural smile from start to finish.
Stage 3: Assessment Day
Debate · Kebaya Fitting · Skin Check
- Debate — Groups of nine split into three sub-groups. After a topic and side (for/against) are assigned, you have 3 minutes to prepare. Each candidate then stands up and delivers their position once — it's not a back-and-forth debate but a one-way presentation.
e.g. "Money can buy happiness" / "Should men make decisions?" — Confidence and clear delivery matter more than perfect fluency. Many candidates have passed.
- Oral English assessment
- Kebaya Fitting + Skin Check (Grooming)
· Kebaya is worn with sandals (stockings removed); a tidy pedicure is recommended
· Skin check examines face, décolleté and arms-raised back skin under daylight
· Walking is repeated while smiling — body proportion, balance, hair, and makeup are carefully assessed
TIP: The panel is typically two interviewers — an HR representative from Singapore HQ and either a Korean or Singaporean assessor. During the kebaya fitting and skin check, posture, expression and confidence in uniform are key. Every moment of Assessment Day is being evaluated — maintain your composure even while waiting.
Stage 4: Final Interview
2:1 Panel · HQ Representative + Local Office Interviewer
- 2:1 panel (a male HQ representative + a female local-office interviewer)
- Tell me about yourself / Why did you resign?
- Why didn't you go back to your previous airline? / Why SIA?
- What would you do if your senior is younger than you?
- Follow-up questions on service, overseas experience, adaptability and English study
- Possibility of a roleplay segment
TIP: Consistency between expression and tone is crucial. When asked about resigning, answer honestly and with sincerity — no embellishment. Weave organizational adaptability and teamwork into your answers. Maintain eye contact and a composed expression throughout.
